In this year's offering of Girl Scout cookies, there was a new offering called
Thanks-A-Lot: shortbread cookies with fudge on the bottom and the word "Thank You" in different languages.
So guess what it means in Mandarin Chinese when you translate saying my last name twice?
You ought to stock this cookies for future use.
ReplyDeleteHahaha! How cool! Yay HSIEH!
ReplyDeleteI read this cookie last night when I ate it, and I was like, "What, is that, like, Hokkien or Cantonese for 'Thank you'? Because it sounds like Mandarin for 'Thank you', 'xie xie'..." xD So, it's Mandarin with non-standard romanization? O_O
ReplyDeleteJust ate some at a party. Love'em, where can I buy them other than Girl Scouts?
ReplyDeleteThey are Girl Scout cookies......
